If you've ever been through a town you might have noticed tiny mini 5G cell towers on the poles of street lights. They appear like tiny boxes, but they're actually broadcasting wireless signals from cellular providers to your phone.

These smaller towers are replacing the larger built cell towers. While they're not as noticeable but they can still create problems for those who live nearby.

Due to the potential for harmful effects of radiation from 5G, PSU has chosen to establish a general, localized power density limit of 4 mW/cm2 measured on 1cm2, but not to exceed 30 minutes for all 5G services running at 3000 GHz. This localized limit is consistent with the peak spatial-average SAR of 1.6 W/kg, averaged over one grams of tissues at six GHz.

Although this may sound like an ideal idea however, people who live close to towers could be more prone to health issues. This is important to understand because the skin acts as a barrier to protect against injury to the body, infection from pathogenic microorganisms, as well as infiltration of toxic substances. The skin is the biggest organ of the human body. It is accountable for maintaining the integrity of other organs.

The FCC's Minimum Exposure Thresholds rely on various assumptions that aren't supported by scientific evidence. This includes the false belief that short-term exposures RF radiations are not harmful because of the minimal radiation penetration in the human body (i.e. thermal heating of tissue).

The assumption also ignores the deeper penetration of the ELF components of modulated RF signals and the consequences on the body of short bursts from pulsed RF waves. These assumptions are not in line with current understanding of the biological consequences of RF radiation. Therefore  faraday hats  shouldn't be relied upon for health-protection exposure guidelines.



Additionally there is the fact that both ICNIRP and FCC limit its maximum levels of radiation exposure for local peak SARs, based on the peak frequency of absorption (psSAR) that is not a sufficient dosimetric tool to determine the degree of exposure to radiofrequency radiation. In  faraday hat  is not accurate for frequencies above 6 GHz. Additionally, psSAR hasn't been tested for RF radiation that is exposed to other environmental agents such as sunlight. Interactions of RF radiation and other environmental agents could cause synergistic or antagonistic impacts. This can lead to an increased risk of negative health consequences. For instance, exposure to RF radiation along with exposure to sunlight can cause an increase in the incidence of developing skin cancer and exacerbate other skin conditions like acne.
